(7) Tell about some research you have conducted.

I conducted a research on my English project this year which is an ( Alternative Asscessment) . It was suppose to be done in a group. My task was to work on a News Report Article. The article should contain about 500-700 words, which is alot of words. We were quite worried of how to write a News Report Article. With the help of my teachers, we were managed to do it. We also bought newspapers and surf the net to see how reporters write an article. Slowly, we got a hang of it. Our topic was on Air Polltuion. We did alot of research on Air polltuion and gained alot of information on it. We learned about how the haze from Indonesia affecting us. Actually, it took a long time for us to finish this task. We were not only given an article to write, but we were also told to take a short video clip on it. Example, we should go around and interview people about their persepectives on it. It was quite fun working with our group members and getting interracted with other people. I think that this project is very educational. Through the interviews, we conducted that many people were alert about the recent haze in Sinagpore caused by the Indonesia bush fires. This research was an eye opener for me and my group members. As for me, Project work is not that easy we need to be very organised and prepared.

Oral Practise .

Through my persepective, the people are attempting the low elements like the "Spider web." The students or the particapants have gathered around at the campsite as shown in the background. It potraits an outdoor activity. As we can see, there is a boy particapant in the foreground looking very uneasy as to whether he could complete the task or might fall. Behind him, we could see some children with bright smiles on their face cheering him up to give his best in the activity. We can also conclude that the girls are not attempting this activity as they can be quite afraid or nervous to try it. The boy in his left is quite helpful towards the particapant. He is guiding him throughout the activity. Outdoor activites helps to create a bond among the students building up their responsibility and friendship. It also helps the students to know how to co-operate with their fellow schoolmates as a team. Team building activites also provides them with a very good self-confidence within themseleves. Friendship within themseleves starts to grow very strong and they can rely on each other when one of them needs help. As long as we stay together and work together we can achieve anything. It is also a very good learning adventure and builts up their sprit.

A time when I felt unloved ..

From the day I was born I have been showered with love. There was never a day that I was denyed from being loved. But there came a day, where I was forgotten to be loved. It was in 2007 when I sat for my PSLE exam which is a very important year for me. My parents pushed me to the extreme end. I was denyed of my normal activities. I did not get what I wanted compared to my previous years due to my PSLE. I wasn't allow to enjoy or spend my days watching movies or having fun with my family. Most of my time were spent on studying and my parents too on the other hand didn't show out much affection for me. Although i knew they love me. This was the period of my life which made feel out of love/unloved.

Personal Recount on STORM !

Fear is inside everyone. When we are young, we are fearful of everything. During my childhood time, I tucked into my mother's arms to free myself from fear. I was fearful of everything from crawling insects to thunderstorm. Storm is always followed by a chaos of wind, water and noise. My mother used to tell me that storm is a severe weather which can be marked by wind, thunder and lightning. Whenever there is a storm my mum would close the windows and the sound of the wind "Howling" would give me Goosebumps. The ominous clap of cloud would be very scary. When I looked up the sky I would see big cauliflower clouds were boiling up. It will hammer down me. The thunder would give a loud "boom" sound. It would be an earsplitting crack. The dancing shadow of the trees by the winds would give me a wrong thought that the storm has formed a monster to chase me. When I think about those times now I would laugh at myself. But as I grow older, I began to accept the storm as a weather condition. Whenever I hear the thunderstorm, I could get myself a chill down on my spine not because of the fear but the weather itself.
